Hello all -
I have just searched and no joy - trying to attach a new choke cable to my 72 Aisin carb - there is no screw in the barrel on the carb - does anyone know the size of this tiny screw? - and any pics/description of how you specifically attach the choke wire to the barrel - do you pinch the choke wire with the screw? - do you wrap the wire around the screw? - is that screw critical or are there alternative options like a stopper on the backside of the barrel? Thank you!!

Just looking at a pic I have of mine. It appears that the screw just compresses the wire to hold it in place. The screw be a 5mm x .08 or possibly a 4mm x .07.

A quick fix until you find a screw, go to your local auto place and get a pack of wire cable stops. See pic. It's an assortment of brass things just like the cable holder on the carb. Use one on each side of the carb arm. (I know that is about the worst description I could have come up with but hopefully you'll get the idea?

Appreciate the reply Coolerman. That's the quick fix I was thinking of doing - just would like to do it right - but I don't know what "right" is as it was never "right."

Thanks for your website write up on wipers. I got mine running very easily thanks to your guide. My wiper stop is broken like yours was - but that's a fix for another day. Just wanted to say a special thanks for your work on your website.
