I could use a round of these anchors too. I had been planning on buying a Britax when our little guy has outgrown his infant seat. Thats awesome that other Mud members use them. It doesn't surprise me.

Be sure to check as some car seats are not as safe when you use the anchors as using the seat belt. My biggest grip on the 80 thus far is that the rear seat belts do not lock when pulled all the way out and then gradually let back in. That makes it much easier to anchor the seats into the vehicle. I am having to use the clips to lock the seat belt down.
Something I found for the tether to anchor on. The device is an non-US OEM (not Toyota) device that allows the tether to be attached to the seat anchor post on the floor. It is easily removed and can be fitted on most vehicles with seatbottom that can be tilted or removed (most SUVs and minivans).
The hook is displayed in the foreground and in the background, a similar hook is attached to the second row seat anchor post with the tether strap attached.
x2. ...and no one is talking about seat belts. Are we talking about retro fitting a "latch" system or just the head anchor?

Hmmm my 96 does.
BTW Also check out the Recaro car seats. I have two Britax seats and one Recaro and actually like the Recaro better, because it sits closer to the back of the seats and gives the kids more leg room when sitting behind my seat.

The tether can be used in conjunction with latch or seatbelt. The purpose of the tether point is to prevent the car seat from rolling forward in the event of a crash.
The tether anchor I've posted was a Canadian Honda Odyssey part. It is only available from Canadian Honda dealers. Part number: 82410-S0X-000CH
The CH at the end of the part number denotes "Canadian Honda". The part number is not valid in the US and most Canadian Honda dealers can't find this part for some reason. You might need to enlist the assistance of a Canuck's version of CDan.
It's called "tether adapter kit" and it hooks to the middle row seats anchor to convert it into a tether point. The instruction's heading refers to it as "1999 Odyssey - Snap-hook adapter for child seat tether anchor". It was an accessory for the second generation Honda Odyssey.

X2 on the Reccaro seats. My first two kids had Britax seats. Now we have two Recarro's. Their weight alone gives me a sense of security for my kids' safety.
Now I am confused with these posts. Are these for the "older" child seats, and not the infant seats.
LATCH is Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren ISOFIX - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. The lower anchors served the same function as the seat belts while the top tether adds an additional upper mount to seat stability -http://www.keepkidshealthy.com/welcome/safety/car_seats_safety/latch.htmlSo you use the infant seat in the 2nd row middle, and use the seat belt and the latch behind the 2nd row seats ...(my third row seats are gone, and safety comes first, i dont mind giving up cargo room in the rear for safety)
i still havent gotten our infant seats yet, still figuring out if we should go travel system or not........but any advice, help suggestions you can give this soon to be dad, i would be ever so grateful
