Chicago area mechanic needed for LX450

I've been taking my truck to local shop, but I'm concerned that I'm overpaying for parts (e.g. $477 for a re-manufactured air conditioning compressor). I may have been better off at Lexus or Toyota for that money. I may just go back to the neighborhood guy that moonlights on Toyotas.

Good question. I have no been able to find one. The mechanic I used to go to is a complete moron when it came to my LC. I would really like to find someone in the area I can trust.

Theres nothing really special about Land Cruisers. They are really not that different from anything else.

Well, it turns out 4G63 POWER and I both use the same mechanic in Vernon Hills: Star Auto Authority. They are pricey on parts, but their technical expertise is hard to beat, for jobs that you can't do yourself.
