2000UZJ, I had my '98 front seats replaced about three years back as the drivers seat had cracked (did not clean and condition enough). The parts guy at the dealer told be about Classic Soft Trim on Amwiler Industrial Dr in Doraville, said they and other dealers get seats done there. They do a big business shipping the seat kits out around the country. It was $375 to have the fronts replaced including arm and head rests. The color matches but the leather is "pebbled" / has a grain to it, not smooth like the original seats. I passed at the time to do the 2nd row at the same price because my kids were still little. Figured when they beat them up more I would replace them too.

I am very happy with the seats although if I had ponied up for new foam, the seat kits would be a little tighter. It does not bother me, for $375, it made my 10 year old truck look a lot better. They have held up great and would definitely do it again.

Manhattan, Great cleaning job on your seats!

Thanks for the info. My driver seat has the slightest tear in it right now and it's killing me. If your in Atlanta, I'd like to take a look at there work if you don't mine. My 2nd row seats have barely been used.

2000UZJ: Not a problem! I live in Roswell and work in Norcross. I just looked and do not see how to PM on the forum.

Same seat. Really. Cleaned. Conditioned. Stunned.

THANK YOU!

Which cleaner and conditioner did you use to achieve those remarkable results?

This is the part where I catch hell for using the wrong stuff. I used SimpleGreen (diluted) and a white terry clothe towel to clean the seat. Then switched to a wet (just water) white terry clothe towel to clean the SimpleGreen off. I spent quite a bit of time on that second stage... really wanted to make sure all the cleaner was gone.

For conditioner, I just used McGuiar's Leather Conditioner. Hardly pro-level stuff, I know... but it's what I had. I did do one thing kind of out of the ordinary - I did not use any towel/applicator/sponge to apply the conditioner. I used my hand. The applicators soak up most of the conditioner. I would spray, massage, spray... it was amazing how "thirsty" the seat was. The last treatment was done with a soft terry clothe towel.

Wouldn't of thought to use simplegreen, but hey it worked awesome! Nicely done...What concentration did you use?

I used simple green to clean a couple of tough spots and I used a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on a couple of really bad spots (loked like years of sweat and sunscreen ) on the center armrest. The Magic Eraser did a great job on that area without being too hard on the leather.

going to try that this weekend! Thanks!

+1 on Magic Eraser. Just tried this the other day. Really got lots of dirt out of the cracks. Otherwise, I use Lexol products. I also apply the conditioner by hand, usually when it is warm outside, and the leather does soak up the conditioner fast. I keep applying until it just won't take any more, even after sitting for a half hour or so, and then use a terry cloth towel to remove the rest. Same procedure for the steering wheel.

Same as above. Looks like it did a great job. I just need a killer carpet cleaner

Funny... While I was at it, I soaked the cargo area (previous douche... ahh owner, used the 100 to haul greasy/rusty parts and the carpet was nasty) and scrubbed it with a brush, then shop-vac'ed it, then scrubbed it with a damp terry clothe towel. The before and after is about as stark as the seats. I love me some SimpleGreen!

I think I'll give it a shot. My carpet is stained from GA clay upfront and the back seats have spills.
