Did you meet the owner of the d-90? I believe it's a guy named Will if I remember correctly. Really nice guy. He is trying to be a fabricator.

I did but it was as I was leaving in my truck so I didn't have that much time to talk. He had just moved it next to the rock crawlers so I drove by and said Hi really fast as I was on my way out.

It was.... it was also 1 of 5 R8s there but the only one with a V10.... I was hoping one of them was a diesel but alas......

I didn't realize it was at the NC Music Factory - dang. Of course, you did write music factory at the beginning of the thread but I missed that earlier. I'll have to hit that up when we are around. Of course, I only own a heep now and no toyota...

Count me in for next time that they have it. I'm gonna make sure I'm able to come. Maybe someone will be willing to drive their 40 and show it off to me. Maybe afterwards the Charlotte guys can get together for a lunch and I can finally meet y'all in person.and maybe someone will be willing to drive around in their 40 and take me on a drive. But I'm just just a kid and I'm not trying to make plans. Was just a suggestion if someone might be willing to.

Ooooooh. DeTomaso Pantera, 70-71-72 I believe. Laura's father used to have a 74 with the plastic front bumperette thing instead of those beautiful SS turn signals you see above. INCREDIBLE cars. 351 Cleveland V8 with a Porsche 5 speed transaxle. Somewhere north of 400hp stock.

Coolest thing about the car was that 1st was down and to the left, with second up top in the middle. Made short-shifting from 1st to 2nd interesting. The one time I got to ride in that car, Laura's father romped on in in first, then short shifted, tires broke loose, then we went off like a rocket. I said "holy s***, that was awesome!" He said "That was nothing. I mis-shifted into 4th instead of 2nd."

Mind blowing.
