Changing the charcoal cannister on my 60 for an A/M model similar to one many others have posted with before. I understand plumbing for the reduction of the 4 vents to the two included on the new A/M cannister and have fresh hoses ready to go.
When taking of the hoses, the Outer vent control valve crumbled from being so old. Hoping to get advice on two options:
1) I can buy a new outer vent control valve and reinstall with plumbing diagrams that have been posted previously (know how to do this based on previous posts - thanks for the help!)
2) Is it possible I can somehow get by without doing option 1? My truck is desmogged, and I understand the OVCV vents vapors from carb when truck is off.
