Guys,,I am curious about LC200..does it come with 5.7L engine and 4x4? and if yes how much new/used, 2009 and 2008?

Sorry..what does that mean?..Thanks
its a form or US sarchasm, jokingly meaning he would be willing to give up internal organs for a manual trans in his 100 series. but yeah, you're pretty lucky to have the M/T.

If you're serious enough to want an A/T, I'd sell it and buy the one you want - might as well get a newer one while you're at it to get the newest technology you can afford. Even if you managed to not spend much $ to do the swap, the headache and time/labor would be overwhelming since there is so much involved. I'm sure you could even sell yours and buy another one for less money because the M/T would be so desireable over the A/T.

If it were my rig and I was willing to spend that much $ and time on swapping over from a M/T to an A/T, I'd scratch that idea and swap in a turbo diesel and ARBs - this way you'd have one unstoppable, bad-ass rig that gets twice the fuel economy. And what I'd tell my son: "here's the keys to your $500 Toyota pickup. I suggest you learn how use this shop manual, and oh yeah - she's only got 1/4 tank of gas."

Yeah...my guess was around that meaning,,,I just want to learn more!

As for the swap, it is not an option now...Many thanks to you all for the advice, I am glad to be a member of this great forum!

If you don't mined I want to learn more about this diesel option...The dealer provides LC100 with diesel engine and the old design front axle with M/T...very very few people buy it,,it is not popular at all!...However, I would consider it if I can make it perform as powerful as you mention...Is this diesel engine option the one you mentioned but with turbo?

Thanks

LC100 with front solid axle is the HZJ105
Basicly, it's an 80 diesel serie without turbo and with a 100 body.
Can't be bought in Europe (CEE at least, because in Gibraltar, you can)Some Euro guys have one, but the price to have them transfromed to meet Euro spec is pretty big (EFI instead of mechanical injection, EGR, catalytic...)
The engine is the same used in HZJ7x
As you mention, the power is not really present, however, I know someone who use his to travel accross sandy Africa, and he says that's enough for travelling with full load, just need to contourn the bigest dunes.
Nothing to do with the latest HDJ100 wich you can power up to 300hp (adonis Technology)

Great info...I noticed the diesel one here in the Gulf is used by companies which work in the desert!,,,I will check with the dealer which one they sell?

As for the one I have, very powerful especially in the mountain,, basically there is no limit!. In the desert the V6 is better than the V8.
