Alright, round 1 of 100 series ownership was a bust. Bought a 2000 LX470 a month ago and it ended up being way too rusty to repair/keep. Broke even as I found someone who bought it for a parts vehicle.

Here is round 2, my 2004 Toyota Land Cruiser, no AHC. It has 170k miles and I paid $9,800 for it. It is in very good condition overall, no rust, interior is clean. It currently is throwing catalytic converter codes so that will be one of the first things I look into. I am going to focus on baselining maintenance before diving into the more fun mods and updates. This will be my wife’s daily driver (I need to drive a pickup for work), so most mods have to go through the boss for approval.

Looks pretty nice, well done! Now when it comes to what you should do first, we all have our opinions. But I would strongly suggest starting with clipping your nails, it looks too big in that one pic.

Alright, I have a set of 200 series wheels that I put on. What do you think? Stick with OEM 2004 LC wheels(picture 1), or go with the 200 series wheels(picture 2)? The OEM wheels are bubbling and in need of refinishing, while the 200 series wheels are in very good condition.

Can't even tell the difference between the two! Use the set in best condition and dump the other!

Well, I can't get a win when it comes to Land Cruiser ownership. I found out that the mileage on my recently acquired LC had been rolled back prior to my ownership. It is my own fault for not running a carfax prior to purchase. A maintenance transaction in 06/2020 shows the mileage at 272,000 and the current odometer reading is 169,000. Due to this I am going to be cutting my losses and selling the cruiser. It is in PHENOMONAL shape for the mileage and has zero rust, but it is just too high of mileage for my wife to feel comfortable daily driving. If you know someone looking for an ultra clean, high mileage LC send them my way!
