im going to retire the cruiser....

:hillbilly:

On the fans, the smallest size I can find that pushes 250 cfm is 6" diameter. So im most likely going to get those. I'll have to brainstorm about using the headrest legs or side handles. I want a very secure and simple installation. I could put the round fans in some type of enclosure, then rack my brain on how to make an attachment from them to the side handles. I'll order the fans first.

The easiest would be mounting between the headrest legs, but anyone setting in the front is going to block airflow to them. IMHO the best would be door pillar handle mount, then the side vents can be aimed straight at them.

This fan I bought seems to be a great solution. You could make a ceiling mount and this would keep the kiddos happy. I will have pictures later its quiet and moves oodles of air . It cooled me off while I was working in the back area of the truck.

I don't keep up on the mini van world, but if your retiring the cruiser and moving to a mini van, I would think that the '100 might have a slight advantage off road over the Odyssey?

from what Ive seen and read, an Odyssey can perform just as well as a 100 series in trail conditions. Dont they both have the same type of suspension? Also a minivan has more cargo room, remote sliding doors, larger roof racks, better safety crash results and better AC. Its either one or the other, a real trail rig, like an 80 series, or a soccer mom deluxe minivan. The 100 series does neither great, so why fool yourself into thinking it does?

Here's a pic of the fan. I had it wrong, it's 166 cfm and the size is about 7.5 "

Schotts anyone?

I didnt see that one there at Fry's, but still a little big for me. It looks perfect for your application.

Howdy! Don, I really like that setup. Can you tie the power supply for the fan into the pressure relay? If you enclosed the framework around the Puma, you could stow all kinds of stuff up against it. Hmmmm..... John

Snug down your seatbelts, boys and girls. Here we go, AGAIN!!!!

One time I said his name three times into my bathroom mirror with the lights off and candles burning and he appeared and brutally ignored facts while berating me with nonsensical arguments and then he left in his 80 half-way through the run while everyone else was having lunch.

A.mus.ed, what are you saying again?, I had to stop reading after the part about bathroom and candles. You are sick puppy dude.

Try reading it again, this time without (I know this will be hard for you) imagining me naked in the bath tub. This will make it easier for you to finish reading the post without having to retire to your self-pleasure dungeon for a quickie.

Oh goody

:popcorn::beer::eek:

shannon, just go down to home depot and buy a window unit, plug it into your inverter and stop whining!

It took most of the weekend to get it all right. Even since yesterday, I decided to get rid of the padded look and redid all the upholstery. I finished the compressor box and installed the fan
Here is what the finished box looks like
DSCN3319.jpg

Cooling fan 166 cfm at .70 amps it will keep the monster cool while it runs.
It's set up to come one when the compressor fires. I may throw a foam filter over it in a slide over fashion

The battery box was recovered and completed also .
I have to hook up all the cameras now. I think that will go smoothly.

I have 36 inches between the boxes. I will build a recover box, lower than the one I had but the width of that area

Back to your regular slamming of Shannon:popcorn:

Don, is your box vented on the other side? I'd ask if the fan is sucking or blowing but thats Cayce's dept.
