Hey guys, I’m not sure if I had damaged anything but i was dumb to think that the proper way to engage in 4H/4L was in park. However, I learned that it should be in Neutral if I want to engage.

3 problems I encountered.
1. Center lock light doesn’t come on (although it did previously even when I engage 4L in Park)
2. ABS light doesn’t go away. (Although it did previously)
3. I feel a slight grind in the 4H/4L shifter when I shift it during Neutral since I got the truck. (Does anyone feel the slightest grind in their lx450?).

Hence, it made me think that I shouldn’t have shift in Neutral, that’s why I started shifting in Park.

With that being said, mechanically, it seems to be locking and releasing the lock and it drives fine. It’s just the lights are not responding.

Should I worry? Can anyone help? Thanks so much.

How far have you driven with it engaged? Sometimes you got to accelerate and release the pedal with some turns to get it to engage. If it still doesn’t light up, pull the plug off the indicator in the tcase and put jumper into the harness side, if light comes on problem with the switch, if light does not come on problem with light or wiring. Truck should be in neutral with no movement when shifting to low, foot on brake.
