The cup holder in my console will not stay attached to the consoles lid. Every time I open the top tier portion of the storage tray, the cup holder comes falling down.
The hinges and most of the attachment points are not held in by screws. Any suggestions?

The little spring loaded piece is what's not working, clicking the cup holder in place. Seems that the spring broke, or something.

Do these trucks have the 6 disc in the armrest console?

I would cut that thing right off and be done with it. Then order a couple of ultimate cupholders.

Mine does mot have a 6 disk changer in the console, Thank God. what's the Ultimate cup holder you're talking about?

That changer also plays DVD's which is a nice feature.

What's in your console under the cupholder? My arm rest comes open with a click of one of two buttons. The first button opens up a mini storage area. The second opens a large area (where the fridge/cooler is located on 100's in the Middle East or where the CD changer is located on certain year trucks in US/CA).

In the larger storage area on my truck there is no fridge, cd changer; just lots of empty space but I have this weird removable cupholder. Just wondering what's on your truck since I have seen that set up before and I'm looking for alternatives to a removable cupholder for the large storage bin.

I did Google that but the reason I was asking, is because, I wasnt askling for a replacement suggestion. I want to remove the entire cup holder since it will not lock into place and keeps falling down everytime I open the top lid.
I'm glad youymentioned the Ultimate, though. I may use that in my 911.

Mine is the same as yours. The cup holder I am wanting remove keep falling down because it will no longer lock in place.

Darin: Just like our consoles but with the addition of this folding holder at the top/lid. Ours is just taller inside.

BBQ I knew what you were asking, I was saying I would remove that folding POS. I have used two Ultimates in my Audi. I recommend for your 911.

Thanks. Good suggestion. I may use that in the POS I have now.

Resurrecting this old thread. Anyone have any luck getting that annoying flip-down cup holder in the upper area removed -short of just getting the dremel out and chopping away? I always prefer non-permanent mods when available (just in case we ever sell).

Yea, there are about 6 clips and the whole top lid just unclips. There was a thread with a picture on here recently that showed how it is removed.

I'll try to find it this wintry evening and post back here.

May bad - it was the Dual USB socket install that was posted earlier this year, not recently.

That should help though since it has some images and explanation that should help.

I removed the center console cup holders. Posted some pix here. Easy to take out and I am pretty sure I could re-add the piece someday if need be.

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?
