Not trying to argue with you, but this says you had the transmission in "gear", with the engine was running, but no TRANSMISSION engagement. Or am I reading it wrong?

No worries. ;)
I think you're reading it wrong. Transmission in gear; just no response from the accelerator pedal. Restarted the vehicle and I was on my way. :D

Gotcha. Well, glad it worked out. I know the cold does some crazy things to vehicles.

Had the local battery store run a test; the batter was alright, but not great. Took it to the local Toyota guru - Rising Sun - and the alternator was excellent. Turns out I'm about due for a new battery!

In fact, the owner and head tech said that in all the years he's worked on 100s, he's never replaced an alternator! Go figure ... Love this rig!

Had all three lights pop on today at the same time. Checked the gas cap, and it was on tight but not clicked. Removed, put back in with three clicks, disconnected battery for about three minutes and reconnected. All three lights gone and didn't come back after a ten mile test drive.

I had ABS, CEL, VSC TRAC, VSC OFF, and Brake. Turned out to be the speed sensor (scanned code). Unplugged them and plugged them back in. Reset, drove a few miles, and no lights.

Today, a few days later, I went out for some errands and got the CEL, VSC TRAC, VSC OFF lights. Truck is running fine... but now I can’t find my scan tool. I hope it’s something simple as suggested by many in this thread.

Off to find my OBDII scan tool.

UPDATE: Could not find my scan tool, so I stopped by my local mechanic. Turns out it is an O2 sensor, in my case (opposite side of the one I replaced a few years ago).

I have the same issue since my battery died... The first time it went away on it's own and the second time it never went away. (yeah I killed two batteries )

I'm living with it until this COVID crap dies.
