CDL sticker?

The door sticker which has instructions for the diff locks operation is gone on my 97. No big whoop but that got me thinking, do the earlier 80s have a CDL sticker for operation or is it just in the owners manual?

The door mounted information label is only present on vehicles with front and rear differential locks. There is no label, to my knowledge, referencing CDL operation. It is covered in the owner's manuals of the vehicles that had the switch factory installed (91-94).
In the 93-94 model year only the non ABS, rear drum brake, vehicles had the switch.

Why would the non ABS 93-94s have the Diff Lock switch as standard equipment? I am sure I am missing something.

Because the ABS versions are set-up to automatically lock the center when shifted into low range and MR T did not want them locking in high range. The non-ABS 93-4 transfer is like the 91-92 as is the SF axle.

did the LX450 have a door sticker at some point? I have a card in a pocket in the visor that has similar info, there is also a smaller pocket that now has nothing in it, what goes in the small pocket?

Why didn't MR T want the CDL in HI? Is it because like you say, the ABS would be disabled, intern making the vehicle less safe?

Yes, there was a diff lock operation sticker on the panel above the window switches.
