👋,

Been lurking around here for quite some time now and finally came around to register. First off, just want to say thank you to all the members that contribute to this community. So far, all decisions have been made with the help of this community.

We traded in the 2015 4Runner TE since we needed more space for our growing family. The 4runner was a solid vehicle and took us on countless road trips and some trail runs. Got ourselves a 2017 white Land Cruiser with 17k mi this past December. Couldn't be happier as I've always dreamed about owning such a legendary vehicle. Almost purchased a FJ62 and FJ80, not as the same time but on separate occasions but didn't work out. Very happy with the 200, wish we could of had it sooner.

Not much is planned for the Land Cruiser but here are a few things done...

Tint - Suntek CXP 18%

Tires - 275/70/18 Falken Wildpeak AT3W

Sliders - Slee formed sliders

Front spring spacers - Toyota part #43136-60020

Wheels - TRD Pro BBS Wheels PT960-34190

Wish list...
Spidetrax 1.25" spacer?
Roof rack - Prinsu

Welcome! I assume you are in San Diego? What part? What year is your truck? Looking forward to the progress.

Wanted to try something else other than KO2s. I really liked the look of the Toyo Open Country R/T but ended up with something a little tamer and cheaper. Got a decent deal on a set of Falken Wildpeak AT3W 275/70/18.

For some reason I don’t have a picture of the side profile with the new tires. I’ll come back and update this post later.

Welcome, I was born in Chula Vista and raised in Bonita when it was still the country. Sadly I am now in the middle of Illinois.

Thanks! Yeah, a lot has changed and they are still building more housing.

Where in the South Bay are you? We have a few cruisers rolling around redondo beach. We could start the worlds smallest chapter.

Those Falkens look great. I'm leaning that way (size and tire) for my next set over some slightly larger, sexier options. Price, reputation, and day to day practicality may win out.

Thanks! So far so good with the Falkens. The Toyo Open Country AT3s just came out. Might be comparable to these.

Those Open Country AT3s look really good. That's the first I've heard of them, but will anxiously await some reviews. I only drive 10-12k miles per year, so I've probably got about a year to make up my mind. These Duratracs are loud after 40k miles, but they're wearing pretty well.

You still got plenty of time. I’ve heard those Duratracs perform real well 👍

Needed sliders but wanted to have a functional step with added protection. I don’t really do any hardcore wheeling and wanted to keep a mild look. Came across a company in Australia called Superior Engineering that made these Stealth Rock Sliders that I really liked. Unfortunately, they discontinued them. The search continued and stumbled upon the LX570 Slee sliders.

Contacted Slee and was able to place an order. Received the sliders a few days later and installed them that weekend. Timing couldn’t have been better. I’ve heard people being on a waiting list for months.

It took some time figuring out where everything goes and where to drill. Anyways, we figured everything out and got them installed.

Very nice. Looks like we have very similar build goals. Let me know how you like those tires as I am considering the same ones.

That would be cool but I’m from the south bay of San Diego 😉
Being from San Diego, whenever I hear South Bay I think of Chula Vista, National City, IB, Bonita and such. For some reason I have only recently been hearing South Bay in reference to LA.

On road manners are pretty good, didn't really feel the weight much. Hopefully I can go on a trip soon and get these aired down and dirty.

That's exactly the area!

I was on that waiting list for 20 months. Glad they finally got their production issues figured out.

That's a long time. Looks like you ended up with the Slee step sliders. Was it because of the wait or you wanted something stronger?
