CB Radio: Thinking of getting this...

What do you guys think?

I'm not looking for something permanent for my 60 and like the fact that this can be easily moved from place to place:

Midland 75-822 - Handheld CB Radio with Vehicle Adapter - Electronics Superstore www.WalcottCB.com

That looks like a slick unit. As with all HT's having an external antenna makes all the difference. I use a Mag mount antenna and $40 Radio shack unit for CB and it works great.

You might also look at the Cobra 75 WX, I know a couple of people who have that radio and like it.

Thanks man....I appreciate your input. Finally someone chimed in. :)

After playing with the two above mentioned CBs (I don't own either one), I'd go for the Midland unit. It serves a dual purpose while maintaining the normal feel for a CB. The Cobra unit is just a weird unit that feels awkward unless you have the hand size of a giant. It has an atrocious speaker to boot!

I don't know which is better performance wise.

Sorry for being so blunt :D

Good info, I've never used either unit.

Thanks for the info. I think I've made up my mind and will get the Midland.

I'll post back once I get it and use it with a review of sorts with pics.
