CB installation

My CB set up.
Ive already gotten this radio.
Cobra 19 DX IV Compact CB Radio [C19DXIV] - $49.95
$20 open box at wally world

Now i'm going to get this antenna
Wilson FLEX CB Antenna - Ideal for Jeep & Off-Road - $23.95

and this mounting plate with cable etc..
Firestik Jeep CB Antenna Mount Kit - $26.95

Now the only thing i'm not clear about is a speaker.
I don't think this radio has a built in one, but then again I know zero about cb radios
So do I need to get an external speaker or is there another option.
What has everyone else done?

That radio should have a speaker built into the bottom of it. I have the DX III, and with it mounted in the ashtray location I have no need for an external speaker. The built-in speaker is plenty loud to get your attention and listen in.

take it to cb shop,and get it hoped up to 25watts,more power to talk over those mountains,and get them to tune the antena to the cb-radio,something else ya might like is a talk back feather ,when ya talk in to mic ya can hear your self in the specker ,very cool,

Hopping up a cb to 25 watts is illegal FYI. Cool, but still illegal. If you want tons of power, use a HAM radio.

Thanks for that.... I might give that a try if the stock speaker isn't doing it for me.
