Just an FYI.

Back 15 years ago I bought my first cruiser. Had some old worn out 33's on it. It was really hard to drive. Replace all the tie rod ends, had it aligned and it still had issues. Back then I just chalked it up to the way a cruiser should drive. About 6 months later I finally wore the tires out and all pops was springing for was a set of 31's. It was like night and day. Didn't follow every line on the road and I could actually drive it with one hand.

Fast forward to a week ago when a cruiser buddy wanted me to swap cruiser coming back from a camping trip. I thought nothing of it. Well all was fine up until I hit second gear and started to get some speed. It was all over the place. I mean I pride myself in being able to drive just about any vehicle. But I can honestly say I was at fear for my life. I felt like I was in a pinball game bouncing from side to side. 55 mph was my max speed and even then was white knuckle. So 5 miles of this I pull over and get out looking for worn out TRE's, or steering box. Nothing it was all new. New BDS springs, shackles, shocks, TRE's, new minibox power steering. He had recently switched to 33" tires and a new lift. Ever since he said it drove like that. I couldn't figure it out since everything was new. Until I had a look at his new shackles. While perfectly fine they were a couple inches taller than stock. Then I looked at his steering arms. While it can be had to see caster it was pretty easy on his to see the were either flat or pointing down. I told him a set of caster shims would most like fix it. He said he just thought that was the way a lifted truck on 33's drove.

Which made me remember my initial experience.

If your cruiser drives like crap. It might be caster. Get it checked.
