couple of Qs for those with the BT45-Toy:

1. Does it cause any electrical interference with HAM radios?
2. The USA Spec site calls for an additional CAS-TLC cable, but I can't tell exactly why? Does this connect to the disc changer? I ask bc I am planning to remove the disc changer anyway and am not sure if I need the cable.

Cheers,
Matthew

The CAS-TLC cable has the Land Cruiser specific connector for the back of the factory head unit. Although when I ordered mine from Crutchfield, their system said it was required but as far as I remember, I didn't actually use it.

I don't know about HAM radio interference.

Correct. There's a CAS-LEX cable as well for the, well, Lexuseses.

$120-150 for the module and 20-30 minutes to install it and you don't have extra cables sitting out on your dash like some kind of heathen. Was well worth the money to me to have a clean, OEM appearance and full functionality. Steering wheel controls work perfectly (though I think I did something off as my call answer/drop button isn't working) and you'd never know it wasn't an original feature.

Not really but only if you want to use BT.
Evidently there is also a jack input for say Sat Radio but you will still need a cable to plug it in.
So unless I got this AND a BT adapter for the Sat Radio I would be about where I am now with the Tape Adapter really.

If your Sat unit has a bluetooth connectivity function, I wonder if it would be able to connect to the BTOY, or your phone. If that were the case, it would solve everything.

No it does not which is really my whole point.
I have little use or need for BT music input,I just need an Aux. Input which is pretty much exactly what the Tape Adapter gives me.
