So a client of ours is IFW Bedslide. They typically make the slides out for truck beds. They do make a bedslide for the avalanches and hummers but they are a little to long for the 80. Ive been joking around with them for awhile on making a custom one for my 80.

Well as it turns out they needed to make a smaller one for a contract they are working on getting. So happens the 80's cargo area is just about perfect.

It differs from their other bedslides in that it locks at 50% and almost has 100% extension. Hold about 1200lbs distributed at full extension. If they market it would be used for K9 units to carry the kennels. This is why they needed one that has almost 100% extension. They used the existing holes for the 3rd seats, but they only used the holes in the far back. I may have them add another cross bar to bolt in the holes towards the tailgate.

Im stoked. Seeing this is beta I just need to beat up on it. And takes only a few minutes to remove if I needed.

Very cool! If they start to mass produce this size, did they give you an idea of the price range?

Not sure. I will ask, but not sure they exactly know. Pretty early in the design phase.

Looks great; keep us updated!

You got that and haven't shown me yet? :crybaby:

Next time I go out and play I'm not calling you. :p

I'm fixing my body damage Sat morning, or at least getting started on it.

Yes, do keep us updated. I really want that type of a system as opposed to drawers.
