Look for a 70-72 carb with the mechanical secondary and the brackets to hold your throttle cable. This should bolt onto the 2F, but also work with the accelerator pedal and choke from 67 I think. Like I mentioned before, you would need the early style aircleaner.

Thanks for the information and pictures — hunting this down now. FJ40 is at the body shop getting the hood painted & I am trying to get something figured out so I can get the truck at a car show I registered for this coming weekend. Gotta say, might not make it - running out of days in the week.
