I installed new Trailhile carb, replace the tank, fuel filter and soft lines and the carb bowl will not fill. I have fuel pumping going into the carb. I can pour gas into the top of the carb and runs good when doing this. I have power on the fuel solenoid with key on. Any ideas on what to check, it's as if the float is stuck.

76FJ40 has been sitting for a several years, used to be a trail rig, daily driver, rebuilt engine years ago.

so if you disconnect the fuel line at the carb you have gas being pumped out the end?

Only thing I can think is there is a blockage or the needle is stuck closed.

Yes, if I disconnect the supply line at the carb, I have fuel pumping. I first hooked it up a few months ago with old gas to try it. Just now getting back to it after replacing the fuel tank.

Are you sure it is empty, and not over full? Take the top off of the carb and check the float. Or remove the bowl drain plug ( on the side below the sight glass) and take a bent piece of wire and jiggle the float. It may be stuck up or have a piece of trash in it.

It only takes a few minutes to remove the top. I have had a lot of practice in the last two days!
