looks good. im curious to see how it holds up to trail rash, sticks etc.
You need to use the 3m adhesive (comes in the pint jar - I use with a industrial q-tip device) on any recessed areas or it will fail & pull up - like in those hinges & the door handles...then go over with heat gun to set its new memory. Looks good! Make sure to follow all prep instructions with the 3m wrap prep. Use 2 rags - 1 for prep & 1 to wipe.
I have 2 vehicles wrapped in 3M products. I'd not want to take either of them down any tight trails. I don't know the product vs 1080, but it wouldn't stand up to much abuse. Paint is far more durable. If it were economical enough I'd consider it for protection from mild stuff, but I've been down trails that would trash it in a day.
My experience is that it'll show any imperfections in the vehicle finish it's going over.
Before posting I googled 1080... first site would put costs around $300 for the material to wrap a 40. So if you were doing light trails, not the tight ones we have, it wouldn't be bad. It would be a cheap way to change color that could be repaired if you did scratch it. It does fade some over time though.
Since 40s have a lot of seams you should be able to hide vinyl seams.

BTW, heat guns will make it stretch better. Also if loosely applied you can lift it up before reapplying.
My buddy makes a killing wrapping car and truck and speed boats! haha. He wont touch a full wrap for less then 4k. Takes as many parts possible off to wrap properly. Results are amazing.
It would be easy to pop out the windows and lights out of a 40. The only hard part would be the windshield and hinges.

I considered wrapping the fiberglass cap on the top instead of painting but the material only comes in 60" width and that isn't wide enough to wrap the cap without a seam. The best estimate I had for wrapping the cap was less than $300.

3 decades in the same FJ40
A friend has a 76 FJ55 wrapped in 3M. While it really looked good when new, I'm not really impressed with it's longevity. Paint scratches can be touched up, this stuff rips easily on brush or blackberry bushes and looks ragged. Plus any rust underneath creates a bubble. If your 40 never goes off road, try it. I'd skip it if your Cruiser is used like it was meant to be.

It would depend on if you were disassembling the parts or trying to do it on the vehicle- better use of material & the professional installers would probably disassemble as this material will shrink back (reticulate) slightly when cut.
In the us it can be purchased in 10 yard rolls for the best price sq/ft.
