Car wash with a snorkel?

Can I use a drive thru car wash if I install a snorkel on my truck?

***I know this is the 100 forum, but you folk might have more experience with this than the 80 folks.***

I figure the answer is no, but I wanted to see if anyone has had some experience with this.

I try to get my truck to a car wash at least once a week during the winter to keep the road salt off.

Both 80 and 100 are car washed constantly. No problems. Imagine driving in severe rain storm and all is OK. Go for it.

Do you leave the scoop in place or turn it around?

Scoop's facing the front. No problems. You'll intake more H20 in the severe rain than a car wash. The snorkel has some drain holes to reduce that.

i've taken my 60 w/ snorkel through a car wash two or three times. no worries.

the roof rack tore the crap outta their swirly rope thingy.... but the snorkel didn't hurt anything at all.
