Has anyone worked with a local car audio shop that they can recommend?

I'm looking for someone to install dynamat/sound deadening.

Agreed, it's an easy process, but I'm short on time and still recovering from surgery.

I have talked with these guys about stereo installation. They seem to have their stuff together. Would be worth talking to from a pricing perspective.

Auto Acoustics in Durham.
I knew a guy who used to work with one of their shops in Burlington. He always seemed dialed in with knowing best installation practices, etc years ago. Assuming it's under the same ownership, I would imagine their quality of work and training has (hopefully) kept up a high standard.

I didn't know they had a shop in Durham. Good to know.

Ownership has not changed. Richard Burgner is the owner and he knows his stuff. They closed the Burlington store so, AFAIK, the only store is in Durham.
