can't find parking light wire or good 12 v source

I'm trying to get these d@mn fog lights working. I've read all the previous posts, but nothing is helping. I either need a picture or VERY easy description of what the parking lights wire looks like or some other good 12V switched power source. I found a green and orange wire, but it's not doing the trick. I put a small screw in the frame by the battery and another underneath the metal fuse box inside and I'm using them for my grounds...is that the problem? Need some help...please..I know this is easy to most of you and you think I should just search it, but I've tried and i can't get the answers I need. I'm new at all this..please....please
