Canadian Group Trailer buy Back On !!!!

Has anybody talked with the Seller about these details?

see my post above about the drop off info.

Since the shipping is all ready included in the price, I ordered the spares. If it turns out I don't need my spares and/or change my tires & rims, I am going to sell em back on ebay.

I am going to make a hinged top of metal or alum. so i can lock it. 125.00 is steep for a tarp unless you are looking at it as a collectable.

Those wanting to tow their trailers home may be interested in the Croft couplers shown at http://www.crofttrailer.com/coupler.htm. This will adapt the ring on the trailer to a ball hitch.

Are you back in? Like I said before, I would like to see you back in after all the work you put into this.

The top by 4x4 Trailers and shown at http://4x4trailers.com/LV416explorerpic.htm may be of interest to some, at least from a design standpoint. Their trailers, I believe, are the exact same size as the Canadian M101. Their tubs even have the squared-off top lip unlike the US M416, which is rounded. The company was once selling the lids in kit form for about $200. I suspect with steel prices the way they are today that price is no longer current though.

If by "back in" you mean back in town, yes. I just returned yesterday from visiting my uncle in the hospital. As for the trailer purchase, I gather that you guys have enough buyers to make your deal in Phoenix go through. If not, please let me know and I'll see what changes can be made. It doesn't really make that much difference to me in the long run.

Lets all keep in touch after this....... somwhere. We can share resources on mods, electrical upgrades and so on.

I have hundreds of pictures of offroad tailers that will give great ideas for future modifications.

Here are some more pintles

http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/...Id=6970&N=0&Ntk=All&Ntt=pintle&Nty=1&D=pintle

I think I would prefer this one, but I don't know if I would use the dual purpose part of it ever.

http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/...tDisplay?storeId=6970&productId=74572&R=74572

and the non dual purpose is cheaper:

http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/...tDisplay?storeId=6970&productId=32384&R=32384

But this

http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/...tDisplay?storeId=6970&productId=13321&R=13321

combined with this

http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/...tDisplay?storeId=6970&productId=22051&R=22051

Would actually be cheaper than both and give you vertical flexibility.

I don't think you need more than 5 ton-- do you guys agree?

Jared

The pintle hookup is fine for offroad but isn't it a little sloppy (noise and all) for street travel? The Croft adapter allows you to tow your trailer on the highway with an ordinary solid ball mount but dismounts for use with the more flexible and offroad friendly pintle. Just my thoughts but I have no experience with either setup.

pintles suck, there not even good offroad, too much clankin and racket. some guys swear by them but i have yet to pop my regualer ball hitch. as a test one w/e one w/e i emptied the trailer and towed it through martinez canyon loop, it did fine, even down the luge bypass.

ya know what else sucks is the Yahoo groups forums, full of advertisements on every click, even when you are a member... just plain lame

The pindel's with the ball are suppose to be a tighter fit. I think 4X4 trailers has a better mouse trap for off road

You're an absolute idiot desertdude.

You're the one who asked.

Looks like the "CANADIAN CONNECTION" is trying to fill out that truck coming to Phoenix. Smart business if you ask me.

The more you try and flatter me, the more you reveal who you are.

In the last ridiculous thread attempt to convince everyone to follow your leadership into a "group buy" you deleted all your posts. Will you look back at this thread a realize what you have typed?

I am laughing hard at everything you type about me personally. Please don't stop here, I like a good laugh. Plus, I know with your leadership, you can drive this thread deeper into the ground than it all ready is.

Your understanding that my comments about you are flattering only precedes your intelligence.

Might also mean that some have not payed for their purchases or some have not bought the number that they originally committed to. Hint.

I guess the ebay listing just shows that he is still short buyers.

We should have guessed that. Actually, the seller should have specified that in his emails. His emails made it sound like he was ready to go.

And one more thing-- CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG????
