Canadian Group Trailer buy Back On !!!!

Try and not take this deal to personally. When you have the $$ and can pay for 22 things happen fast. Surplus and surplus trailers are available on a regular basis, things come in things go out. Those items are not always in ones hands when offered for sale. The fact that the seller new we all wanted some is what made this deal happen ( beyond the first 22) The main thing is that we are all getting trailers and delivered to Phoenix is it not? ;)

My email from Michele made me laugh out loud... I am in for two trailers along with two spares.

So you think the spares are a pretty good deal? I was trying to decide if I wanted a spare, and maybe a tarp. Tarp actually seems pretty pricey.

I wasn't sure about any of the other options.

My brothers and I are in for six of these things.

Good luck guys. I intend to pass on the latest offering. There were just too many inconsistencies that developed lately and without the umbrella provided under an eBay/Paypal transaction, it seems too risky for me.

I understand your apprehension. Personally, I'm not holding my breath but am going to go through with this. Though I need to find out more info from the seller before I send him $850.

Anyone have any ideas how we can guarentee our money? A third party, a broker?

One great thing (for us anyway) is that the trailers are coming to Arizona!! WhooHoo!

Also, if you dont have him switch to a ball joint we are going to need some type of pintle hook(if you dont already have one). Im thinking about something like this....

http://tinyurl.com/3jedt - Anyone know of a reason why this wouldnt be a good idea?

Not sure which of the trailer accessories I'm interested in.

Perfect pindel hitch... Paypal is fine - I have no odd feelings about this deal. With the net there is no real guarantee anyway. Yes Phoenix drop off makes this a great deal. I went with a spare because I think a spare at a later date would be more pricey.

I will rewire mine from scratch, and I will make a hinged steel top.

BTW From what I understand this wil be a PayPal transaction

I believe Paypal only offers protection through an eBay transaction. Without a completed auction or one that contains an agreement between the buyer and seller, you're simply sending someone money through Paypal.

I will say that $850 is a very good price to AZ . Im paying a little less (not much though)but I also got a couple more but Im less then a day away from where they are coming from .
I'll most likely see mine 1st and I will take pixs as soon as they hit the door .

A couple of the other interested buyers just contacted me to let me know of another group of Canadian trailers in Colorado. They're new instead of used but the cost is a little higher. We'll probably go this route.

.

This is what I have for my BJ70 and works very well with the M416 trailer.(http://www.yourlandcruiser.com/whee...erfest_0019.jpg)
Its a real clean way to do it . The only thing is if the eye will be at the level with the rec hitch.
Thers a bunch of ways to make everything line up . springover the trailer , move the eye, bigger/smaller tires and what kind of lift is on your truck.

I'm just looking at the pintle receiver hitch as a temporary setup until I decide on a better configuration.

F U and your negitivity...

after all this and you are not buying a few, talk about hot air... :flipoff2:

The latest corespondance from the seller, on the drop off date and can I see an actual photo...
---------------------------------------------------------
drop off date – they will be picked up sometime next week, which day yet all depends on the transport company once I make the call to them, once they pick up next week it takes 5-7 days to get to Phoenix, the address I will also only have once I call them because they use several different companies at the freight broker so I only know when I call and tell them that they are ready. The trailers are the ones in the photo of the ebay auction that you saw, there are several photos there. You will be happy I am sure.

Leave it to you to take an obtuse view of this. Never said that I wanted any more than 1 trailer and myself along with 3 others from the original group are buying trailers elsewhere. One guy has already picked one up and was very impressed with the condition (new) of it. I still wish you guys luck despite what was said here.

Ok, lets try and remain civil here. We should all remember that it was Steve (aka trailer) who was the original instigator of the whole group buy thing. I know he spent alot of time trying to put it together. I had one good long phone conversation with him, and he seems like a real good guy to me. I hope he joins back in.

I just wanted to say that before things got out of hand.

With Steve dropping out I wonder if we still have enough buyers. And I wonder if all the arrangements have been made for a Phoenix drop off, or if we need to do more on this front.

Has anybody talked with the Seller about these details? I have their phone number, but I have never talked to them.

And I am still having trouble deciding if I want a spare and a tarp.

I was worried that they might not have enough buyers to make this deal happen so I asked the seller yesterday if he wanted me to try to gather additional buyers.... his reply:

"Yes thank you for the offer - I will know tomorrow if the order is
actually complete or not, if not then perhaps you can spread the word."

I was just going to post to some of the local outdoors websites.

Can anyone think of any others if it comes to this? I can do Pirate4x4 as well.
