My friend Michael suggested I post these photos and see if someone would know what the part is and how it is supposed to be connected…and….to what. The axle mounted section is on a moveable pivot. It seems to make sense that the opposite end shoul or could be connected to the frame…the rod is about 30” long overall.
Funny thing is…the mount that is welded to the axle housing….look very clean and factory. BUT, when I was restoring very old motorcycles .1920’s ].1930’s 1940’s etc…with 7 decades of different owners, anyone could have added something somewhere With the idea that it was THE THING to do…. I appreciate the input.
