Can the 2013 LC TPMS store two sets of wheels

This comes up from time to time and rumor has it that the 2013 can store ten registered TPMS sensors which is what I need to simplify winter wheel swaps. Does anyone know for sure?

Dealer told me it can only store one set of 5 sensors, so I decided to run without sensors in my offroad wheels. If I had decided to use sensors in my offroad wheels, then every time I changed over the system would have to be reprogrammed - either by the dealer or by me with the appropriate tool.

The TPMS warning light stays on all the time, but it is easy to ignore.

Orange Electronics (and others) make valve stems that "clone" your existing valve stem IDs. That way you end up having two sets of valve stems without the need for dealer reprogramming every tire swap. May be worth a look.

So I was getting a tire repaired at Les Schwab and asked about cars that only take one set. They confirmed that they can clone the stock stem IDs and assign those IDs to their generic stems.

Interesting. I am exploring buying something of a clone-able nature. I do have a shop that does my track wheels and they might have such a capability. I will ask. I preferred the previous traction control-based systems. But there was no follow-on profit in those I suspect. I am waiting to get part numbers.

More news. The shop can clone sensors for the winter wheels. I had called them previously, but your thought prompted a better question on my part and hopefully a bit of success. Thanks for the insights.

By way of closure: I mounted some 2007 Tundra wheels with Blizzack rubber and used cloned sensors. Seems to work just fine. This allows you to swap wheels as needed without reprogramming the TPMS.

cool. Did the tire shop set that up for you or is there somewhere else I can find the cloned sensors?

The tire shop was quite adept. However, stealing a thought posted previously, Standard is a brand that markets clone-able sensors and they have some info describing the procedures on their site. I do not know just what brand was used in my case.
