I do not recommend using it.
you shoud not save money on oil buy good stuff or it can cost you your engine

As for Group 2 oils, Delo is a top tier oil !

I run the 15w-50 Mobil 1 in my rig, used to have to buy the single quarts but just saw that Walmart is now selling it in the 5 quart jug. Pretty solid deal

I now run the Mobil1 High mileage 10/40, because last year Walmart had it for $18. per 5 quart jug. I bought ten jugs!:D

So is this the right oil for my 1978 fj40 2F Gas???

The Delo has changed considerably since the pervious to last post of 10 years ago, but it's still good oil. Not what I'd run, but fine if you've already bought it.

@Landlover12 I see you're in Maine, so with severe Winters, you may want to run Rotella T5 during the cold months, and give the truck a good 3 min warm up before driving.

totally agree 15-40 is more of a diesel weight. in cold i’d want a 5-30 for a gasser and 10-30 in summer. it’s hard on the engine not having enough lubrication when cold. 15 weight is a little too thick for my liking but as you’ll find in every oil related thread you’ll get as many different answers as posts!! also good to add a zinc additive that modern oils don’t have. i took out a cam and lifters in my chevelle unfortunately not knowing that detail.
