I was all geared up for a camp out at Dead Horse Point, on the Mesa west of Moab. It was to be my wife’s first ever. It was our wedding anniversary/ Thanksgiving away from Covid trip. We started in Williams, AZ, and a train ride to & from Grand Canyon and T-giving supper at the hotel. Then a night in Monument Valley, and on to Moab. So we get up to the town and it’s about 36 out, okay, I watched the forecast, I expect a couple chilly nights, I’m ready for this. 22 miles out of Moab, just as the sun is starting to fade, we found our campsite and went to the point to look around. Now it’s 26 degrees and night is falling. The temps are supposed to go to 14. Oh, well, maybe next time......
