Lane, Heidi is hesitant about taking her truck wheeling at this point. It's on it's way out and she doesn't want to push her luck. However with the Mini-Beast done, I can step up and lead a Mod run. I'm fairly familiar with F n F as well. We just need to pay up and join. We'll (or at the very least I'll) be at the Fall Crawl.

Ok! Heidi's out and you are in!

I was out putting signs up on the new Mod trail,
took some pics. The pic with my truck in it is the short access trail.
The other 2 are at the hill climb. I would say it is a 30-35 degree hill
with each climb about 150-200 ft long.
Lots of loose rock. The large rocks on the right side are 3' plus high.

Some more, the top pic on the left is a the top of the hill climb and those boulders are a good 5'.
This section has 6 hillclimbs all are pretty challenging.
The pic on the right and the bottom are on the upper trail system. Different
terrain here. More ledges and boulders and flatter.
Pic on the right is a 4' ledge, your going to want lockers or a winch! There is another line to the
right but its still pretty tough!
Bottom pic, 2 boulders with about a 5' climb, a mini just about made it up at the trail cut!

Last bunch, The tall pic is pretty decieving, it's a long narrow V notch
that runs down hill. Moss and leaf covered rock on both side, at the bottom by
that big stump it hangs a hard left up a nice 6' ledge!
There is a by-pass on this one.
Bottom pic is just another boulder to climb.
The trails are pretty tight, but we had some Cherokee's at the cut
which did just fine.

This trail will connect up with the Extreme buggy area giving us a large loop to run.
It will be very much like F&F with a perimeter loop and challenging side trails.

Nice trails, the kind that makes Peepers tremble in fear! (he'd faint on these)

Oh man those look great! Can't wait! What's this trail called?

The general area is going to be the Concrete Jungle, I'm sure the trails will pick up names as we go along.

You say that is a moderate trail? Looks hardcore.

Moderate, NEA recommends 33's and a locker/winch. Couple of YT'ers helped cut it
and a few ran it. Gary would you like to comment?

Lane if I could see the mod trails in person and get a chance to run them, then I might lead a mod group.
I don't have a winch yet(hopefully before the gathering I'll have one), I don't know if you want that as a requirement?

I wasn't real sure which you were interested in. I'll be doing a pre-run in Sept on the Mod stuff and I'll
let you know when. You can decide then.

Dave- Last year you had mentioned sign ups for runs to keep the sizes of the groups more manageable to prevent backups on the trails. Are we going that way?

If so, I'm first.

First to be a trail guide? Hardcore?

We are going to limit total participants this year but hope to accommodate them all on whichever trail run they want to go on.

Signups will start soon, I'll keep you posted.
