Calling all 22RE guys!

Hey everyone iv been having an issue with my 86 re, it runs great on the street (alittle sluggish but barely noticeable) however going up any kind of steep incline if I dont take it out of drive and shift into first gear and get a good running start it will just bog out and stop when climbing a hill. I replaced the tps and it made no difference, it has also started stalling when I shift from park to drive or reverse. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Id start with a tune up and fuel filter. Also maje sure tge intake boot isn't leaking.

Any recent engine work? That could be a lot of things.

Is the check engine light on?

No check engine light

Check your fuel pressure. My truck was having similar issues, and it turned out to be the fuel pump.

It would heat up during use, and the pressure would drop enough to mimick the symptoms of a bad TPS.
