I am not near my truck or my manual, & I need to find the size of the caliper bolts on my 97. (Caliper to Knuckle)
Thanks

Try cdan at American Toyota.

I know it's a 17mm bolt, fine thread, though I can't recall the exact specifics in terms of length....

You could probably call any Toyota dealership up and get the parts guys tohelp you out....truck is not near me....

Sorry and good luck.

Pretty sure it's a 12 x 1.25mm. As Beno says, the head is 17mm. The bolts that hold on the rotor will work in a pinch and buy you enough time to get the right parts.

Speaking of this it looks like the bolts that hold on the caliper have "11" written on them while the bolts that hold the upper bearing cap on have "10" written on them. Is this the strength rating or something else? Thanks.

Why don’t you just make 10 louder and make 10 be the top number, and make that a little louder?

These go to 11.

I think it is a rating of some type. Toyota lists default torque values in the front of the manual by the number stamped in the top of the bolt. I am guessing the caliper bolts are specially hardened.

One other thing-the Tundra caliper bolts will work-I used one once when that's all the dealer had. I think it just slightly shorter and the head has a flange but it works fine and they are much more likely to have it in stock.

Cruiserdan will send overnight as well, but I assume you know that.

Yeh, the number corrilates to the class of bolt ranging from 4 to 11. The higher the number, the higher the strength, torque spec. etc... Don't make me go ASTM on your asses :D.
