the air cabin filter in my 2016 land cruiser only runs for 3 minutes before turning back off per the manual.
there is no way to keep the air filter engaged permanently. The convoluted Entune menu settings make it unlikely that the air cabin filter ever gets used.
An air cabin filter with a 3 minute maximum runtime buried in a menu grave should never need replacing.
@04UZJ100 I'm only aware of one filter (the one behind the glove box on US vehicles), and I've torn apart my vehicle pretty completely. Where is the micro-dust filter?I think you are confusing the micro-dust filter and the cabin filter. The cabin filter is in constant use regardless of whether the intake is set to fresh air or recirc. It’s located in the glove box.
I'm sure there is a factory interval, but I think it may make sense to adjust for local conditions. If I lived in a very dusty place, or a place with massive pollen drops, I'd probably change it out more frequently. I tend to do mine once a year whether it needs it or not. I buy activated carbon filters on Amazon (somebody here recommended them).I’m normally done cabin air filter changes at 30,000 miles and they almost look new what are you guys finding is normal?
