Ended up deploying to Africa then welcomed my second kid to the world. sorry about the late delay for the popcorn crowd. 100% a scam - delay after delay, COVID this COVID that, even had a buddy in the area going to pick it up and then radio silence. Dude kept in contact for months, then fell off the face of the earth. Did my report via eBay motors, got followed up by their purchase protection folks. I provided all my information, filed a police report etc. eBay came through and reimbursed me plus the money for the shipping companies that I paid. Lessons learned - if it’s too good to be true, it probably is but eBays program actually works, been hunting for a FJ60 locally to avoid shipping shenanigans and whatnot. Luckily I documented everything didn’t do any silly business like western union or pay to a foreign bank account and the process with eBay was actually fantastic. It’s shame white fang wasn’t real.

I was really impressed by how good they were. It’s been a weird year with COVID, but again I documented every conversation etc. I had my spider sense going off but really wanted ole white fang. You miss all the shots you don’t take. Hope you and yours are doing well @Dekeman

Whenever I go for an ebay auction I make sure to do all my communications through the ebay messaging system....that way at least there is a documented trail vs say Gmail where it might be a little harder to prove its a valid conversation.
