I know, I know, hens teeth. But surely someone must have some out there. One vendor has told me they might have some in a week or so. Any other options?

I'm refreshing my 1F, and the bores are measuring in spec, so would like to keep the standard size. One of my rings cracked, so even one would work in a pinch!

Thanks @Spike Strip. Yes,i do have some pistons, please share size/part number

I have new oem F piston rings in the box. I also have used rings with under 20,000 miles on them you can have for shipping cost. One thing I would consider if I were you is to put all new standard rings in it. Your cylinders can measure in specs, however your rings could still be warn. If you use the old you may have lower compression. On a side note, most F engine performance issues is related to head problems. The valve guides were made to have leaded fuel. When unleaded was used it ruined the guides. Rebuild the head properly and your performance on a f will be great.

@bemerritt would you mind sharing what your cylinder bores measured?

Thanks for this great info. I was leaning to just lapping the valves and call it a day. Sounds like it would be wise to go a little further while I'm in there.

Totally agree on the rings. Only replacing one would be a last ditch effort, but sounds like you can save the day.

For some reason I recall an early F and later F piston ring. Am i recalling correctly? I'll try and look into it. But I will totally take you up on the used rings if they are in decent shape.

THanks!

Off hand they were all about .000"-.004" over. I forget the exact reading as I zeroed it out on a caliper prior to readings.

Thanks. Yeah I’m trying to find the exact STD spec, the F-Engine Repair Manual is a bit confusing to me, so someone with real numbers would help.

13011-60011 is STD early F piston rings. I *think* your pic above says 60011 on the piston ? Later F rings (72-75) are different part #
That link is 1.25 over not standard rings.

Yes, that seller has listed STD Japan-made F piston rings in the past. The listing has the correct part number, but photo is not right (or part # is wrong). In any case OP may want to send an email and ask. It was just a jumping off point for the OP should they want to hunt some down.

Not sure, but I believe NPR was the OEM for rings...

I have an assortment of partial sets of rings that have come to me over the decades that just get tossed into a rainy day box for someone who just needs to cobble one or two pistons back together. Not sure of years or sizes, and can’t check until after the holiday.

But there is a possibility.

Head and block just got dropped off at the machine shop. Sent some PM's, but am still looking for some (preferably new) early 1F rings. Thanks!
