C2 Hood Struts (1 Viewer)

Hey gang. I just installed a pair of the C2 hood struts. Excellent upgrade, very well made. I’m having trouble with not being able to close the hood. Seems like the struts are bottomed out at this point. Anyone else install these and have this happen? Cheers!

Not sure exactly what specifically C2 hood struts are but I’m when I installed a set that purchased off of Amazon, I noticed that the passenger side strut was hitting the air cleaner…

I added a nut (that was included) to the end that screws into the fender and it spaced it out enough to where there wasn’t interference and worked well.

Got it all sorted. Chris from C2 reached out and we figured out the issue. Easy fix! Outstanding product and customer service!!

Love mine - makes it a breeze to open the hood with one hand and lets you have much better access to the idle speed screw on the carb. The stock spring assist was always in my way for that screw.
