This is my first post,
I have a 2017, 200 Series Sahara and am getting an intermittent fault (C1425) when starting up and usually will clear after turning off and restarting sometimes twice.
The stop light switch I believe could be the problem but after talking to my local Toyota dealer they have never sold one so sounds like the switch should be reliable.
I removed the switch to check open and closed continuity but get no reading between any of the five terminals so with some effort I managed to open the switch up to find a fully electronic circuit and a sliding magnet so cannot prove if the switch is OK without applying voltage to the switch.
Has anyone one had a fault code : C1425

Internals of the switch:

I think the fault has been repaired by replacing the stop light switch.

The next option was the master cylinder CPU/Solenoid block (3000.00 plus Austrailan)

I managed to test the switch on the bench, but it appeared OK but as this was the cheapest option ($70.00), I replaced it and all is going well.

Terminal info for the switch:
