Great all-around experience. Decided on going through dealership whose parts department does business regularly with a local shop (supporting vendor here). Got lucky, too.

Went in on Saturday December 12th -- gave the GM my color/leather/port options, and left a small deposit. Picked up my LC, fresh off the boat with 2 miles on the odo on January 11th. Here are some notes:

* Dealt directly with GM from first contact through delivery; a salesman was assigned and eventually got credit, but we only spoke once -- seemed like really nice guy.

* GM pulled strings to divert the allocation of another dealership's unsold stock to me. Would never have gotten what I wanted in my market in such a short period of time otherwise.

* Stayed in near-constant contact with the great people at SET port processing in Jacksonville once the order was placed. Super helpful. Cannot say enough good things about everyone there whom I spoke with.

* Only option that I ordered was the remote starter. Used it this morning, and happy it's there. Headsets, trailer hitch, and DVD screen covers were all included.

* Southeast Toyota does not currently offer the glass break sensor as a port-installed option; so GM threw it in for free. By choice, I took the part uninstalled, and will look to put it in the truck soon.

Other markets may have better pricing; I got everything (pre-tax) for just under 80k. Feel like it's worth every penny to have this particular vehicle -- exactly how I wanted it -- within a month. GM was extremely fair and up front with pricing from the start, and he never once tried to sell me anything. By far, best dealership experience I've ever had, and best VEHICLE I've ever had. Looking forward to many years of enjoyment.

Congrats! You must post pics of your beauty inside and out :)

Here is one. More on the way ... just been too busy during daylight hours this week.

I love the updated interior. Although the new 200 doesn't come cheap, when you compare it to other things in the same price range it really stands out as appearing much higher quality and better value IMO. I checked out a new Yukon Denali for kicks when I was waiting for some parts, and even though it looks kind of cool in an American SUV type of way, there is no way it's even close to level of quality for virtually the same price. The Escalade is even more expensive (pushing $100k) and not as nice as the 200.

Congrats man. I've only seen one '16 around town so far. Which dealer did you use? If you've got a trusted service advisor please let me know that, too. Thanks.

Thanks bud. Really do love this truck. Sure. When I was ready to place the order, I contacted the owner of Atlanta Custom Creations after seeing that he supports this site and is well-known and respected in the Land Cruiser community. He told me that they source a lot of parts from Toyota South on Jonesboro Rd and his shop has a good relationship with their parts department, which was good enough for me to reach out to the GM there. Based on a few interactions with people at ACC, I already trust them and hope to work with them throughout the truck's life.

You're gonna love it. Throw some Rock Warrior 17" wheels and some 33" all terrains, and you'll love it double. ;) No mods necessary.

Definitely on my radar, Markuson ... but it's going to take time. Dropped a healthy bit of jack on this one, so I need to be on my best behavior for awhile. Like a parolee.

Hard to go wrong with an ACC recommendation. They've done work for me over the years on 200s and a 4R.

Ya... I do understand. :)

I'm glad your experience was good. That's a stark contrast to mine, as previously documented. Buying my first Toyota was not fun or enjoyable. My 3 week old LC is now with the dealer for repair work - front seat and rear DVD screens. Can't judge the quality of the repair, but at least they've been better to deal with on the service side vs sales side, so far.

That being said: congrats on the '16. Issues aside, I'm enjoying mine.

I had some issues when I purchased mine in October as well. It's been smooth sailing since they got taken care of though.

I think you said you're installing that yourself. Please document that here if you do. I need to get one of those myself.

Thanks.
