Yes, very clean truck especially frame / under carriage with no rust at all! At 350k miles this LX must be well loved. Really no difference if she’s 68k or 340k miles as new owner the baseline maintenance is the same. With a fake timing belt/ water pump receipts, start verifying the critical components, belts, heater tees, fluids condition etc there’s a recent post on baseline items. I’m sure she drives very well, something about a high mileage vs low miles is that often low mileage suffers neglect maintenance while high mileage receives attentions and sometimes much prefer. Thanks for sharing the photos!

Thanks for your input. The real Carfax has long list of oil changes throughout it's life. Whoever had it took good care of it. But....have not confirmed that the timing belt has ever been replaced.

That’s great news, my 02 is at 190k and no where near the condition of yours. Got some rust but I’m determined to keep her in best shape.
Here’s the recent link, if you’re new to the 100 series it would be helpful!
Btw not sure about the LX but I think most prefer the 99 vs 02 LC due to the lockable rear diff. I love mine over my P cars and M. Best is the ability to work on her at your own schedule.

Not an expert here, but the 98-05 are non interference engines ie if the timing belt breaks it won’t hit the valves vs 06-07 being interference engines.

No plans on taking this thing cross country, so maybe not a must do??

It's clean. New front seat covers.

I agree that the best course of action is to try for a change of ownership with the title you have. Don't say anything else when you do it; just see if they'll issue you a new title.

It needs to be baselined due to age as much as anything else. You're going to have to put some money/time into it, regardless of mileage.

The title situation is looking good. Got Oregon plates and registration today. Should have title in a couple weeks.

I know I'm not getting any $$ back. I hope someone sees this thread and avoids getting scammed. I'm going to keep this rig and enjoy it. Now I'm kind of irritated that the odo reads 65K not 350K. Any way to change that? ;)

Give it to @BullElk he’ll run up the miles in no time

It looks pretty clean and will probably go another 300k miles so just enjoy it.

Azz what I'm screamin!

Thank you all for all your input. I am right now enjoying a cold one enjoying the splendor of my first LC.
Glad you’ve accepted the situation and took it lightly, an issue like this can be devastating for some, but you took it in the chin and didn’t flinch!

Sadly these f@k&@s aren’t stopping until arrested, who knows what they’re planning next.. hope they find their match soon enough.

Cheers on the new truck, looks great.

What on earth is this?

I know it’s too late but if I saw an LX with a claimed 64k miles and re-skinned front seats I would be asking a lot of questions. Notice the center arm rest is original.
