Hi fellas, just picked up a 2007 LC for my mom. I've personally had a multiple 80's and GX's but this is my first 100 series, my mom drives very little and other than having some Michigan wear the truck seems to have been maintained pretty well. But regardless looking to start with a clean slate and obviously want it to be dependable for my mom, here is the list so far:

Inspect car, look for leaks
Check Steering Rack
Check Rotors/Pads
Check Shocks/Springs
Check CV Boots
Check the preload tension on the front wheel bearings

Undercoating
Air filter
Aisin TKT-021 (Timing Belt & Water Pump Kit)
Thermostat
Check fan bracket
Check radiator fittings/hoses
T's
Check oil cooler hoses

Oil Change
Diff fluid
Transfer Case Fluid
Power Steering fluid
Brake fluid
Transmission drain & fill
Spark Plugs

Grease everything, fittings for the prop shaft and slip yokes (three zerks per driveshaft) driveshaft's U-joints and slip yoke, knuckles, the upper control arm ball joints, and potentially the tie rods and steering linkage

Anything basic you guys think should be added to the list?

Thank you!

Probably add grease and clean out sunroof drains to this. I wish I did this on mine when I got it, now the sunroof is seized and something is leaking.

Yea the sunroof is toast, already cleaned out the drains and seated it best I could. Going to try and figure out the rear drains, it was leaking on the previous owner...

Here's my list: Baselining :woot:

Wow thank you so much what a great list to check and add against mine!

Going through it trying to figure out what my half banana mechanic ass can handle and the rest goes to the mechanic. Getting caught researching on this one:

  • Check secondary air injection (“SAI”) filter

Removing the intake manifold is well above my pay grade and that's going to be quite an expense having the mechanic do it I imagine, that's a tough one not sure what to do....

Gentlemen I purchased this kit for the timing belt and water pump:

2007 LC, what am I missing from the "while I'm in there" side of things which isn't included in this kit, already picked up a thermostat and gasket.

FIPG, serpentine belt, fan bracket....what else?

Thank you sincerely for any help

Did you wind up doing the job? I'm in favor of replacing all pulleys and tensioners with new (at this point in the vehicle's life, if not yet done), including the fan bearing bracket.
