Just contemplating options post WFH world...

Is there a front bumper for 2016+ LC that will maintain the parking sensors, and not block or obscure the camera and radar?

Same with rear (sensors, backup cam, hitch receiver even)?

Not sure about other options, but for sure the Dissent bumpers fit this criteria. The backup cam relocation is an additional option that is available if you have dissent do the install.

All my sensors work fine, the camera works fine, and the hitch works fine.

It’s actuwlly better than stock because the hitch receiver is more convenient and the trailer plug is easier to access.

I have the Trail Tailor bumper. It retains the sensors. It does not obscure the camera. Radar works fine, even with bull bar hoop and LED driving lights mounted on the front. My winch controller is low inside the grill, not mounted on top of the bumper. It does not add turn signals like Dissent or ARB does, so your regular turn signal may be obscured if you have a bull bar. It has cut outs for fog lights - Jason built mine with them in the middle section vs the wings, though I think he's changed his design to move them to the wings but set them to fire straight ahead instead of at the angle of the wings. The only thing it did not preserve was the headlight washers, but I drilled holes and installed hood-style squirters in the bumper

Note that most bumpers will have parking sensor cutouts and all I'm aware of will not block the camera or radar, unless you mount a winch controller in the center on top of the bumper.

As others said, I think TT or Dissent bumpers are great options. Especially, being Mud people. Those weren't options when I was in the market. I have a TJM and it retains the parking sensors and headlight washers. Not sure if those others maintain the washers. One thing I liked about the TJM was that it didn't stick out as far as the ARB. It's about 4.5" out from the bottom chrome strip on the grill to the end of the bumper. The stock bumper sticks out about 1.5" from the same point on the grill. I believe the ARB is about 10", so they have a camera relocate kit. I also like that the TJM has built-in recovery points.

Thanks for the quick replies! Will do some research on those 3 tonight!

I dig the Rhino and Dissent bumpers, depending upon what you plan to do with it. The Rhino 4x4 blends nicely with the original lines and if you are't doing hardcore "wheeling"/rock crawling seems like a nice subtle option. The Dissent (aluminum) is light and practical. I had trouble finding a supplier for the Rhino, and customer support didn't reply to emails about US suppliers. Ben C was very responsive. I like the TJM too, but again, finding a supplier can be tricky. That Trail tailor looks sweet too. So many great choices. I'm doing my hardest to exhibit self control and stick with the stock bumper. I need a bull bar like I need a hole in the head. must...resist...

1st, if possible, buy American. 2nd, if possible, buy from community contributors like Dissent, Taylor, etc. Their quality is equal to if not superior to many other offerings on the market. I was forced into a TJM or ARB decision six years ago when I did mine, but would pick Dissent or Taylor today if I could do it all over again.

I haven’t researched too far yet, but both dissent and trail tailor websites have nothing easily apparent on their lc200 bumpers... available, specs, price...nada.

Yeah, it may be a little old school, but both of these guys are easily accessible on the phone. I think in both cases, you can likely pretty easily get in touch.

And while I am not knocking any of the bigger vendors, if you call Dissent or Trail Tailor, you are probably not going to get a phone menu or a customer service specialist, if you know what I mean.

But if you still want some more "virtual" information on their products, these are good places to start:

I really like the look of the TJM and all its functionality... but it's 260lb hunk of steel (before a winch even) is too much! Been down that road with jeeps and even with our heavy LC it makes a mess hanging that far off the front of the suspension (sprung vs unsprung weight n all).

Will keep looking into Dissent and TT alum options.. not too clear if they made it out of prototype stage...

It is heavy, but you have your numbers wrong. The bumper is 211.64 lbs. It is a full protection bumper with 2.5" tubing. It's not a bumper trying to be sleek or lightweight. You didn't mention that being a factor in your initial post. If you're looking for something light, then TJM or ARB is not your answer. Best go with TT, Dissent, or Rhino as they have options without grill protection. Also, as mentioned before, it only hangs out 3" past the stock bumper. I would assume the others are similar except ARB. Not quite the mess you think it is.

Just keep in mind that strength-wise, there is no comparison between Dissent and TJM T13. Night and day. The TJM takes can take an incredible beating.

Not trying to knock Dissent. It’s just that it is not built with strength as it’s priority. If impact resistance is not your goal, then lighter is great. Just need to go in knowing.

Sorry if I offended you with the “mess” vocabulary. I meant it in reference to the weight dynamics on the front suspension with that amount at the very outskirts of vs center of mass.

The TJM bumper is awesome, the more I research, the more I feel I would benefit from a lighter setup.

another option - steel in a flat cut profile

Offense never occurred to me at all.
It’s just my bumper...not my mom! lol
Light is good, and if someone is prioritizing light, TJM would be a poor choice.
