after my last outing i knocked off a rear black plastic bumper cap off of my stock bumper. i found it but can't seem to get it to stick back on. anybody know if i can get one a new to stick on or is this why everybody runs aftermarket bumpers?

you can get more at

I would save for an aftermarket. Though there are not too many manufactures that make rear 60 bumpers. Check out http://www.sleeoffroad.com/products/products_rearbumpers_main.htm

Good luck.

and the plastic end caps bolt right on. you should not have a problem, unless the plastic was ripped.

that's beautiful, where'd you get it?

If you meant my bumper, a buddy and I fabbed it and the spare tire carrier in a few hours. The spare pivot came from Rockstompers.com and the latch is from Graingers. It's a real simple design and an amature job for sure, but I like the clean look and simplicity. Powder coating would be nice but a touch-up with a rattle can now and then keeps it looking ok.

The pivot they sell is pretty nice. Looks like the end of a trailer axle actually. It swings free, but we have it positioned so when it swings out about 140 degrees, the tire contacts the corner of the body above the tail light. It wasn't on purpose, but it happens to work pretty good.

I would try pop riveting a large washer to the plastic hole in the bumper cap that might have been ripped opoen. If you want newer look, try looking at the for sale section, there is always somebody parting out of a 60 series vehicle or post in the wanted section. Once someone puts in an aftermarket bumper they usually don't want to kick around the old bumper in the garage. good luck!
