Looking to get rid of these LED lights I have had sitting for a while. They are practically new as they were removed when I got the troopie. I have two lights and would prefer selling the pair. Harness, relays included.

I think $350 for everything is fair from what I have seen. Let me know if I am out of line

I just bought four 25" light bars that put out more light than those and it only cost me $250.

The Bulldogs are very much top-quality products and their people have been very helpful and accommodating to me, even though they knew I purchased mine used. The quality of the harnesses and connectors is stellar. Two years later they're still going strong.

I DO have a cheap 25" Amazon bar that I bought in a moment of weakness for under $90, but it still sits, unused, in its box. Surprisingly, it was built with SOME attention to sealing.

yeah those were originally my LED bars that I sold Brett and went on the Troopy.

they are much higher quality than anything you will find on eBay, amazon or superbrightleds. Right up there with vision x or rigid industries.

Sorry for reviving an old thread.

LED's are LED's. Bulldog uses the same LED's that some of the Amazon/Ebay lightbars. I say some because there are few that claim CREE LED's but are actually lower quality Epistar LED's. I returned all but one light bar to Amazon. The one I kept is 162W light bar with CREE XM-L2 LED's. The only way to make one light bar brighter than the other is to over drive the LED's with power. This not only shortens the life of the LED and cause the light bar to get incredibly hot. The Bulldogs might be higher quality but there is no way they are brighter.

A few years ago I built my own mountain bike lights using CREE XR-E P4 and Q2 bin LED's a with a GeorgeTLC Fatman boost controller with logarithmic pot.

I dont think it's about the brightness, it's about the build quality of the case that the LEDs are kept in. You're right - LEDs are LEDs, but if you put them in a leaky box with metal that will rust, they're worthless. Put them in a solid leak proof rust proof box with thicker gauge wire.... it's more expensive but a better long term investment.

completely correct.... Brightness isn't that important, more so how the light is projected/reflected.

when you look at comparisons done by magazines they have different light meters at different distances from the vehicle and different angles both side to side and up and down

Reflectors, Lenses, Build materials, metals, plastics, polycarbonates, glass all play into prices on LEDs
IP scale does also.... pretty much a torture test for these lights that see what they can stand up to.
moisture and dust getting in, warranty info, specs and build quality of the control board, type of wire used for power, gauge of wire
if it is a complete kit also plays into it. all wires, relays, fuses and switches are they included?? whats the quality of those items???

I saw an article in Australian 4wd that put brand names up against "amazon/ebay" ones and none of them even came close... not saying that they aren't a good buy for the money. If you are on a budget then the amazon ones are a great buy
