Has anyone installed 03-09 4runner Bud Built sliders on a GX470? I've read on other forums that they will fit without modification. Is it true?

Yep...go for it.

Nice.

Any thoughts on beefy vs standard? Is the beefy version really necessary?

Also....

Anybody have experience with Bud Built vs OPOR Metaltech?

Has anyone fitted these on a KDSS truck?

KDSS wont impact the skids, they are well and clear of the frame where the KDSS is mounted.

Beefy is for a harder core wheeler. I use aluminum ASFIR, but they have options now from bud built as well.

They will all work as long as they bolt up to the same year 4R/FJ

Sliders, not skids :)

Sliders are another matter. Few are made that work with KDSS.

Yeah... I haven't found any prefab ones yet. I may have to resort to making my own.

Where are you located? if Socal, hit up Demello Offroad, I'm sure they can fab you up a set of their hybrid style sliders

I'm in Phoenix. Could do a drive to Socal, but I am envisioning a custom set of sliders costing a fair amount..could call 'em, though.

Or I could buy a bender from affordablebenders for $400. Hrm.

Hit up Sierra Expeditions in Mesa, AZ. they'll help you out

I just gave them a call- they are so busy they aren't taking any more custom work, but I was referred to Hunter Fabrication. I did get a ballpark price from Sierra, though - at ~$1k for sliders.

I might drop $800 on tools and $200 on steel instead. :)
