decided to take the new floor a bit further forward. This will help when I make the expanded, flat top, wheel wells.

New floor ready to get burned in. Its 16 gauge. Bit of an overkill, but I had it lying around.

While I had the Miller fired up I FINALLY got around to finishing the welding up of the hole left from the rear heater delete.

Both. Plan is to finish building the inside. Then completely gut the interior, seal up the sunroof, and bedline the entire thing. OEM carpet will go back down in the front half for me and the passengers, minus all the water soaking up fabric backing. Rear will stay uncarpeted for easy clean up.

Thanks. Yeah, we have it pretty good. Blue skies and sunshine in january. Sure beats winters back east. Im not complaining.


Leveled the welds and primed it up to keep the surface rust at bay. I can hear my stereo now! Hopefully Ill get to do some more work tomorrow after my morning clients.

Virginia Beach and Norfolk, VA. Lived there 26 years. My family is still there. I live in california, but I consider myself a Virginian.

Didnt feel like taking on any big projects since it was threatening rain all day, so i did some minor PM. Fixed the lines to my windshield washer reservoir, and replace the motor with one from the scrap yard. I am not much of a fan of yellow, so i threw a few coats of satin on my ironman springs. I have a case of safety orange from a swing set i build for some kids in the neighborhood, so I decided that was going to be my accent color, just for something different. I painted the shocks and the new panhards (which i have yet to install because i couldnt get the dang bolt out.) Thats pretty much all I did today on the truck.

I spend the rest of the day stripping down my single speed roady, since I found a crack in the frame last night. New frame is on order.

Here is the new color scheme. Satin and safety:

Here ya go. Probably going to trim down the bolts on the inside, although I dont think they will contact the tire.

No wife + No kids = 10 hours a day of work time Saturdays and Sunday's. Taking advantage of my lack of weekend obligations while I still can. Although I have lost a couple girlfriends over lack of quality time. But I'll work on that when the truck is done. Got to have priorities. A girlfriend can't get me out to the middle of nowhere and back.

LOL! But the things you can do with a girlfriend IN the middle of nowhere!

I really like what you did with the flare bolts. I would leave the heads exposed.

The mat and safety color scheme will likely look awesome as well.

Clearanced the rear outer fender, and finished removing the inner wheel wells.

I was going to do the same fender flare treatment as i did in the front. But now I am contemplating just removing the front ones and running no fenders again. Got REAL close to tearing off one of the front ones yesterday on the trail.
