Great pics MO....
Who's got a little Captain in him?
Haha! This wasn't by choice, more mechanical/physical limitations (this time).Slomo said:Reid, what is it brother that we always get separated every time we wheel together?![]()
Ha! Another great caption!PabloVTA said:![]()

Yes, I believe the whole park is open again. I really want to run some of the other trails in the area, now that they're open.ZPDFJ said:Hey guys what about the rest of the big loop trail that goes around the whole area? Is that open yet?
I wanted to ask you and Steve what you felt was the minimum 'requirement' (suspension/tire) to get through the Connector. As bad as I want(ed) to run this trail, from what I saw, I would've been stuck BIG TIME! What's your opinion on this?
"The northern half of 3A (Bronco Peak Connector) is extremely challenging for 4WD. Vehicles must be less than 72 inches wide."

WOW, I totally missed out and these pics are like salt in my wound here.
You definately missed out Sam! This was an awesome run. Even though I did some damage, I have no regrets. I conquered something that not too many have, in a Lexus no less
Are you coming to S-N-T ?
Which reminds me:

Ooh, BTW:
I was looking at the map of CC and noticed this statement:
"The northern half of 3A (Bronco Peak Connector) is extremely challenging for 4WD. Vehicles must be less than 72 inches wide."
I believe the 80 series is a bit wider than that!
Mo you ever get s*** for having handi cap plates on that monster of an 80?, lol

I think A/T's are a descent tire for that area. Lots of large granite slabs/rocks and compacted soil. Not too much loose rock or sand, with the exception of that ashy silt.Slomo said:The tread issue can be a factor too but I did it with A/Ts.
It gets a bit tiring dragging myself over almost everything.
Anytime. That's what I'm here for. Thanks for making me feel better about it Steve,, lol.
I am planning on SNT. Planning on leaving either Thursday night about 7pm or Friday at 6am. If we Caravan it I promise not to be an hr. late this time bro.
Anytime. That's what I'm here for.
So let me get this straight, when were driving all the way to the Rubicon, you don't want to leave until 9 am. However, if you're only going to Pismo, you want to head out at 6 am? What gives? We can caravan if you're willing to wait until about 9 or so![]()
Just imagine how the FJ Cruiser owner's must feel![]()
HAHAHA, Mo, that looks familiar!!!Between a rock and a hard place. I am slightly left (right in the pic) of the ideal line but you couldn't attack this from any other angle and all you can see is sky. All about trusting your spotter. That is Steve's back in the pic and the hill is even steeper behind him for about 75 yards.
Thankfully a little more room than Steve had. Benefit of not being the Guinea Pig.
My friend Andy's son Ben on the left and my son Scott on the right. The's were thrilled when we brought them home.
