crushers said:why do you say the add-a-leaf causes more stress on the remainder of the leaves?
the add-a-leaf actually takes the strain and rearchs the rest to the desired curvature. the strain is actually on the add-a-leaf and takes the srain off the original springs... that is why the rancho add-a-leaf usually needs replaceing after a couple 3 years of use...David*BJ60 said:OK, maybe I realy don't know what I'm talking about... but...
The first time I plan to put add-a-leaf in my spring pack. 3 of 4 suspension shop tell me add-a-leaf is not recommended... because it not work tha same as the other leafs in the leaf spring. It's stress the leaf at each end of the add-a-leaf.
(when I talk about add-a-leaf, it's the thick - firm one like rancho...)
I was tinking that kind of element was the broken leaf reason...
So tell me I'm right or not ?
Anyway, your answer will help me to![]()
