On my dads cruiser (2013): he broke his front driver ABS wire working on the cruiser last weekend. Dash lit up with pcs, abs, vsc, and flashing center diff light. Plugged Techstream in and sure enough, popped abs sensor. Finally got one in today and got it swapped out quickly, continuity checked good after replacement, and Techstream showed no abs error code.

Had to clear DTCs to get the lights off, everything went off except for VSC. Figured I needed to do a zero point calibration, so attempted to do that. Tried multiple times through Techstream - no dice. Then decided to try it manually by jumping 4 & 12 on the OBD connector. It appeared to do it, but still had the VSC light on. As soon as the vehicle was put in drive, boom all the lights lit up again.

Not sure where to head from here, considering I’m back at step one. Gotta love these new vehicles with their fancy computers :bang: any advice/direction would be appreciate.

Not to be simplistic but have you disconnected battery for a short period?
Yes, multiple times including while replacing the sensor.

Reperformed zero point calibration today manually via OBD and was able to get it to work. All the lights are gone. Hopefully this can help someone in the future.

Make sure you jump the correct OBD ports! The plug in the vehicle is upside down compared to the diagrams lol

Thanks for posting.

Does your techstream have working live data? Or if you don't know that, which adapter are you using?

It does, however I’ve been using this cable for years and I’ve been having connection problems. Probably time for a new cable.
